At first glance, it is unmistakably Captain Cook: bold, sporty and built for adventure. Look a little closer and the cricket references begin to reveal themselves.
The blue-gradient dial takes its inspiration from a cricket pitch viewed from above, with three yellow-gold dots representing the wicket. Rado’s signature moving anchor has been reimagined as a cricket ball, set against a rich red background, while the second hand features a matching red tip. Even the minute track takes its cue from the stitching of a cricket ball.
Gold-toned details across the crown, hands, indices and turning bezel add warmth to the stainless-steel case, while a polished blue high-tech ceramic bezel brings a sleek contrast. Super-LumiNova® details ensure easy readability when the light fades.
The watch is also something of an all-rounder. Rado’s EasyClip system allows the wearer to switch between a stainless-steel bracelet, a dark blue and gold NATO-style textile strap and a black rubber strap. A handy pouch keeps the additional straps close by, making it easy to adapt the watch to the occasion.
Underneath the design is the performance expected from Rado. The Captain Cook is powered by the automatic Rado calibre R763, with an antimagnetic Nivachron™ hairspring and an 80-hour power reserve. Water-resistant to 30 bar (300m), it is ready for everything from everyday adventures to time spent on the water.
