Sharing a passion for precision mechanics and high performance, Bell & Ross, the official timekeeper for the BWT Alpine Formula One team, has released a brand-new 500-piece limited edition in partnership with the F1 outfit. Meet the BR 05 Chrono A523…
A first for the BR 05, the Ref. BR05C-A523-ST/SST sports the colours of F1 and, most notably, of course, the blue hue adorning the racing suits of BWT Alpine F1’s drivers and the constructor’s F1 cars. The colour blue has been applied to the tachymeter scale surrounding the finely graduated black dial; the 3 o’clock sub-dial’s, which, like the 9 o’clock item, features a silver surround, hand; and the chronograph hand. A neat detail, the Alpine logo serves as a counterweight for the latter item. As Alpine is, like Bell & Ross, a French brand, the dial is decorated with a French flag, found at the 6 o’clock marker.
The satin-polished steel case, replete with screw-down crown, measures 42 mm. Inside, the Parisian luxury watchmaker’s BR-CAL.326 calibre movement, which is displayed through a sapphire case back, keeps time. The automatic mechanical movement offers a power reserve of approximately 56 hours when it’s fully wound.
The watch is presented on a satin-polished steel bracelet, replete with a folding buckle fashioned from the same material. A black calfskin leather strap, complete with blue detailing, is also available.
