Bell & Ross elevates its iconic BR-05 collection with a creation that is as refined as it is enchanting: the BR-05 36mm Blue Diamond Eagle. This new model transforms the smallest BR-05 into a jewel of horology, combining geometric rigor with dreamlike femininity. At its heart, the watch is a constellation – literally – capturing the majesty of the Eagle (Aquila) constellation with seven sparkling diamonds set against a deep, aventurine sky.
The Eagle Constellation: Power, Freedom and Symbolism
Since ancient times, the stars have inspired humanity, giving rise to myths and legends across the skies. The Eagle constellation, recognizable by the three stars forming its head, soars across summer nights in the Northern Hemisphere. Its brightest star, Altair, known as “the flying eagle,” forms part of the Summer Triangle, heralding the warmth of summer. In Greek mythology, the eagle connects the heavens to humankind as Zeus’s sacred bird – an emblem of power, freedom and ascension. In this context, the BR-05 Blue Diamond Eagle embodies Bell & Ross’s DNA: inspired by aeronautics, it is a timepiece that celebrates the conquest of the skies with elegance and symbolism.

A Horological Masterpiece
Bruno Belamich, co-founder and Creative Director of Bell & Ross, describes it as:
“A watch with a singular character, precious by essence, whose sovereign elegance is revealed in every detail. Its symbolic, poetic and almost dreamlike dimension makes it far more than a timepiece – a true work of horological art.”
The BR-05 Blue Diamond Eagle is a testament to Bell & Ross’s craftsmanship, where every detail is meticulously designed to capture the poetic beauty of the night sky.
Aventurine: A Starry Canvas
The dial is crafted from deep blue aventurine glass, whose shimmering inclusions mimic the sparkle of stars. This delicate material, invented in 17th-century Murano, demands technical mastery: cut, drilled and assembled with micron-level precision to avoid micro-cracks and temperature sensitivities. On this celestial canvas, seven diamonds trace the Eagle constellation, forming a luminous tableau that is both precise and poetic.
A Complex Gem-Setting Technique
Each diamond on the dial is expertly set to capture light and radiate brilliance. The largest diamond, representing Altair, marks the eagle’s head, while the remaining six outline the wings and tail. Alongside twelve diamonds marking the hours, the dial features a total of eighteen diamonds in three sizes. Precision drilling and expert gem-setting ensure each stone sits securely and reflects the majesty of the constellation – a fusion of Swiss technical expertise and artisanal excellence.
