Cape Town’s most loved summer tradition is back — and this year, the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts are pulling out all the stops. Each Sunday, the lawns of Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden transform into the city’s favourite open-air music arena, framed by the majestic rise of Table Mountain and alive with the pulse of world-class performances.
This season promises an irresistible mix of chart-toppers, iconic collaborations and global talent. Expect everything from Afro-soul, indie-pop and desert blues to electronic magic, rock anthems and full orchestral brilliance. Highlights include Mi Casa’s feel-good grooves, rock favourites Prime Circle & Jesse Clegg, and the powerhouse duo Karen Zoid & Francois van Coke marking the 10-year anniversary of “Toe Vind Ek Jou.” The December line-up shines with Bongeziwe Mabandla & Matthew Field, viral favourite The Kiffness, and a New Year’s Eve celebration featuring Mango Groove and The Billy Joel Experience.

January and February bring their own magic: Goldfish’s electrifying electronic set, Belinda Davids’ soaring Whitney Houston tribute, Freshlyground & Manana, Bombino’s desert blues, the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra’s tango showcase, Msaki & The ALT BLK Collective, and a host of local favourites including Jeremy Loops, Vusi Mahlasela & Jabulile Majola, Matthew Mole and Thandiswa Mazwai. Rising stars Will Linley & Ben Rodrigues add fresh energy before the season closes with a special CPO children’s concert.
“This year’s line-up is possibly our most exciting yet,” says Events and Tourism Manager Sarah Struys.
