Summer at Kirstenbosch is turning up the volume. After a record-breaking festive season, the iconic Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden returns with its much-loved Summer Sunset Concerts, delivering the ultimate high-summer soundtrack throughout February 2026.
Set against the majestic eastern slopes of Table Mountain, these concerts invite you to bask in golden hour, picnic on the lawn and experience a world-class line-up that celebrates the richness and diversity of South African artistry. The line-up: A sensational sonic journey

The season opens in sweeping style with the return of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, joined by internationally acclaimed German bandoneon virtuoso Lothar Hensel. Together they bring the passionate works of Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla to life, including Adios Nonino and Libertango. The programme also features fiery dances by Villa-Lobos, De Falla and more – transforming Kirstenbosch into Cape Town’s most elegant open-air stage.

In a special addition to the calendar, Radio Tygerberg 104FM presents Under the Mountain with Ben Fuller. American Christian artist Ben Fuller brings his inspiring story of redemption to Kirstenbosch, performing chart-topping hits such as Who I Am and If I Got Jesus. He is joined by local gospel favourites Neville D, Rouchelle Liedemann and Henry Pike for an uplifting evening of praise and worship.
