For the Bohemian traveller
Treedom Villas & Vardos is located in Wilderness on The Garden Route. It’s a unique destination that includes a villa and vardos — wagons that have been beautifully crafted for comfort and a touch of romance. Treedom is run by husband-and-wife team Debbie and Marc Nortje, who created the space to escape city life. The gypsy-style vardos are their latest offering and a real treat if you’re looking for a special getaway.
The space is very much inspired and tied to the essence of family and embodies a genuine appreciation for life and love. The vardos are vibrantly hand-painted for a whimsical and romantic aesthetic. The interiors are enchanting and luxurious — imagine a beautiful jewel-toned colour palette and boho-chic décor elements combined with cotton linens and comfy textiles. The bathroom includes a rain shower, as well as a window with an unobstructed forest view. There’s also a private enclosed garden with a fire pit and a private greenhouse that’s beautifully lit up with fairy lights.
Treedom is an eco-friendly destination, and all the facilities are intended to have a minimal impact on the environment. Treedom runs off the grid in terms of water by harvesting rainwater and recycling effluent water. There’s an organic vegetable garden onsite, and guests can purchase the fresh produce that they need. All rubbish is recycled, and any organic waste is added to the compost heap.
