The new Jaguar E-PACE has finally touched down on home soil. The E-PACE has been a favourite in the Southern Vines garage since the first time I got behind the wheel of one in 2018.
The E-PACE has recently had a facelift with new LED ‘Double J’ Daytime running light headlights, a brand spanking new mesh grille with a noble chrome finish and it also boasts some impressive interior changes. Think along the lines of an integrated 11.4inch curve-glass HD touchscreen at the centre granting you access to the new Pivi Pro infotainment system.
Jaguar has also upgraded their touch screen by adding 2 special coatings to it. The one prevents glare and the other coating makes it fingerprint-resistant.
Drawing inspiration from their electric I-PACE model, Jaguar has added a new steering wheel to the E-PACE. This really is where the magic sits. There are hidden-until-lit switches, the perfect showstopper and metal paddle shifts.
There are 4 engine options to choose from in the range. The range-topping 300 SPORT is what gets our engines going at 0-100km/h in 6.9 seconds with a maximum speed of 241km/h.
Pricing for the new E-PACE starts at R868 000 for the E-PACE R-Dynamic S D200 and goes up to R1 046 900 for the range-topping E-PACE 300 SPORT P300.
