Pongrácz Nectar Rosé Light Demi-Sec

Pongrácz Launches Lower-Alcohol Demi-Sec Rosé Cap Classique

The launch of the Pongrácz Nectar Rosé Light Demi-Sec is a welcome addition to the Cap Classique category.

The bottle-fermented and lees-matured Cap Classique is a blend of the traditional full, rich flavour of Pinot Noir and the elegance of Chardonnay.  It is lower in alcohol at 8% without compromising on flavour and taste.

Inviting cherry blossom in colour, the Cap Classique is complex with a whisper of sweetness and elegant bubbles.  Delicate strawberry, maraschino cherries and red berries, layered with touches of spice and yeasty undertones, lead to a crisp, velvety finish.

The lower-alcohol offers health-conscious consumers the option to enjoy a Cap Classique for anytime, anywhere indulgence whilst being mindful of their alcohol consumption.

Pongrácz Nectar Rosé Light Demi-Sec

Pongrácz Nectar Rosé Light is crafted from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, hand-picked from vineyards cooled by maritime breezes, and selected for their overall quality. The Pinot Noir vines grow in deep red soil at an altitude of 320m above sea level, whilst the Chardonnay is selected from vineyards at 100m to 200m above sea level.

In the cellar, after whole bunch pressing, the clear juice was first cold fermented in stainless steel tanks, before being prepared for secondary fermentation in the bottle. Left on the lees for 12 months to form the myriad of enchanting bubbles, the sediment was removed thereafter in the traditional process of “remuage” and “dégorgement”. The bottles were corked and laid down in a cool cellar for a further 2 to 4 months.

The Cap Classique’s lighter alcohol and medium-sweet taste lend enjoyment to many occasions: from on its own, to brunch, picnics, sunsets and dinners.

Serve with charcuterie and tapas, deli sandwiches, mildly spiced Asian dishes, roast pork, feta and spinach tartlets, and seared salmon or tuna steaks. For dessert, the wine is the perfect match to rose Turkish Delight, panna cotta with vanilla and raspberry, strawberry meringues and Victoria sponge cake.

The Pongrácz Nectar Rosé Light is at its finest and most expressive when the bottle spent half an hour in an ice bucket before serving the luxurious, delicate bubbly at a temperature of 8-10°C.

Available nationwide, the Pongrácz Nectar Rosé Light retails for about R170. Visit www.pongracz.co.za for delivery to your door!
