As far as days of the week go, Monday isn’t always the favourite. But with its award-winning and affordable modern formulas, MONDAY Haircare is here to change that. Soon, you’ll wish every day was MONDAY.
MONDAY’s credo is that people shouldn’t have to pay more for quality haircare that’s also PETA-certified and has 0% SLS. The brand’s award-winning formulas have a focus on natural ingredients and bottles are 100% recyclable, to help minimise carbon footprint and reduce landfill.
MONDAY Haircare is the brainchild of New Zealand entrepreneur and beauty enthusiast Jaimee Lupton, who was inspired to create a range of luxury formulas at an affordable price point.
“For too long, exclusivity has been a real buzzword in beauty,” says Lupton. “But by definition, that means someone is always left out. Instead, MONDAY is part of a more inclusive beauty movement – making our salon-quality formulas widely available at an accessible price point.”
In 2020, MONDAY experienced an explosive initial launch in its native New Zealand and Australia, selling six months’ worth of stock in its first four weeks on shelves. MONDAY expanded that sell-out success into the North American market in early 2021, selling over half a million bottles in less than two months, and going on to average seven bottles sold every minute. MONDAY’s next stop?
THE RANGE
MONDAY launches with four targeted lines, each with a shampoo and conditioner which can be paired together or mixed and matched based on your hair goals. MONDAY formulas have a focus on natural ingredients – including panthenol, vitamin E, shea butter, coconut oil, hydrolyzed rice protein and ginger root extract – to guarantee more good hair days.
- SMOOTH: ideal for frizzy, curly and coily hair (named ‘Best Drugstore Shampoo and Conditioner for Frizz’ in the 2021 Glamour Beauty Awards)
- VOLUME: ideal for fine and lifeless hair (named ‘Best Shampoo and Conditioner for Fine Hair’ in the 2021 Cosmo Holy Grail Beauty Awards)
- MOISTURE: ideal for dry and coarse hair
- GENTLE: ideal for normal to delicate hair and scalps
MONDAY prides itself on its modern formulations – particularly, avoiding sodium laurel sulphate (SLS) without compromising on that post-wash feeling.
A sustainably minded brand, MONDAY is proudly PETA-approved, and committed to lessening its carbon footprint and doing good when it comes to social responsibility. Bottles are proudly 100% recyclable, including the pump – a huge coup for a beauty brand.
