Gucci La Famiglia

Gucci La Famiglia: A New Era Begins

This collection signals the genesis of a bold new Gucci era—unapologetically sexy, extravagant, and daring. La Famigliais a study of “Gucciness”: not merely a style, but a mindset, a shared aesthetic language that defines the House.

Captured through the lens of Catherine Opie, the lookbook frames portraits of an extended Gucci family—singular personalities united by distinctive attitudes. Each character becomes an embodiment of the brand’s multifaceted identity.

The journey opens with L’Archetipo, a monogrammed travel trunk honouring Gucci’s origins in valigeria. Then comes Incazzata, fiery in her ‘60s-inspired little red coat; La Bomba, exuding feline volatility in her stripes; and La Cattiva, severe and sensual, the quintessential femme fatale. Miss Aperitivo is devoted to pleasure, while L’Influencer captures the spirit of the digital age. Meanwhile, La Mecenate, La Contessa, Sciura, and Primadonna radiate refined Italian elegance. Finally, Principino and La Principessa embody dual aspects of the spotlight’s allure.

Sprezzatura—the Italian art of effortless elegance—runs through it all: slingback kitten heels worn with casual ease, soft leather mules stepped-in without thought, gestures of nonchalant mastery.

Heritage codes are revived with fresh energy: the iconic Gucci Bamboo 1947 bag, re-proportioned for today; the enduring Horsebit loafer of 1953; the Flora motif, both classic and nocturnally reimagined; and the GG Monogram, Guccio Gucci’s initials, celebrated in head-to-toe abandon—all or nothing.

Silhouettes span extremes: from the feathered grandeur of an opera coat to the neo-minimal sensuality of seamless hosiery pieces. Dressing for pleasure becomes the guiding principle, where glamour extends into menswear and black-tie sophistication is applied even to swimwear.

La Famiglia is more than a collection—it is a return to storytelling, a bridge between heritage and the future. It sets the foundation for Demna’s Gucci vision, leading into his first show in February.
