Inspired by the beauty of classic cars, Chopard, the official timekeeper of the Mille Miglia, has created a chronograph named for the world’s most famous regularity race. The Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph’s elegant 42 mm stainless steel case — coupled with a black rubber strap replete with a stainless steel pin buckle — houses a black dial with a satin-brushed finish. The Arabic numerals are coated with Super-LumiNova.
Visible through the sapphire crystal case back, the chronometer-certified (COSC) movement is of the self-winding variety. Beating at 4 Hz (28 000 vibrations per hour), the mechanical item offers a power reserve of “approximately” 42 hours. Water resistance is rated at 50 metres.
