Jane Wurwand, the founder of Dermalogica and the international dermal institute recently visited South Africa where Dermalogica South Africa hosted an intimate morning for her as the guest of honour, alongside key stakeholders, media and influencers at a venue just outside of Cape Town.
Guests arrived at the venue and were treated to mimosas, snacks, and coffees as well as the melodic sounds of Acoustic Element. Jo-Ann Strauss former Miss South Africa and Top Billing presenter kicked off the morning’s events when she introduced Jane. Guests were completely mesmerized as they delved into her story, she took everyone through her life’s journey and shared her inspiring vision for Dermalogica and the future of skincare, before reading an excerpt from her book, Skin in the Game – whose proceeds go to charity, just cementing the inspirational women she is.
She reminded us that everything you need to succeed is already inside you, and maintained that Dermalogica at heart is still about empowering and professionalising the skincare therapist with the best products, training and education in the industry.
Guests enjoyed a book signing and were encouraged to “learn how to do something” where they could get a treatment as well as give a treatment.
The morning was thoroughly enjoyed by all an event that will not be forgotten.
