“In the last 7 or 8 years we have stayed incredibly focused on becoming experts in the field of wallcoverings. CS4D is a logical next step in terms of taking what we do, onto your other walls and tables, but in our own special way” says Cara Saven, the founder of Cara Saven Wall Design and now CS4D.
The brand launches with three products – Tablecloths, Napkins and Textured Wall-hangings.

“All the beautiful tableware I saw was very pricey and required special care. I don’t do special care, I’d rather be on the beach.”
So the CS4D range is all about making life beautiful and easy. “I’ve never really seen tablecloths treated as murals so I wanted to experiment with how it would influence the scene of a table setting. The results were spectacular, with elements of the design moving between guests and the food and the plates; it literally bought the table to life”.
And the name, CS4D? Cara Saven for (4) Décor is the obvious explanation – but the play with the term 4D, as in 4 Dimensional, was very intentional.
“4D or the 4th dimension is TIME. It’s the one dimension we cannot see, but time is what gives meaning to space and things and it’s a precious commodity. We need time to imbue meaning to the 3D and material aspects of our life. This décor range is a celebration of that concept,” says Saven. “With our wallcovering range, we aim to bring 3 dimensionality to a 2 dimensional wall. With this range we want to celebrate the 4th dimension with the use of 3 dimensional pieces – in a way this range is a love letter to the element of time – time with family and friends, time spent creating memories and time saved when it comes to looking after these products.”
