For this upcoming ‘Braai day’, whether you’re a meat eater, vegetarian or follow Halaal and Kosher diets – Banhoek Chilli Oil plans to spice up your menu.
Heritage Day has earned its highlighted mark on our calendars for so many reasons; another excuse to celebrate South Africa’s rainbow nation and its many cultures in a meaningful way. ‘Braai Day’, as it has colloquially become known, is an initiative that was started by the media and Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu a few years back to unite all South Africans around a braai, celebrating and sharing together.
This year, the BCO team continues to innovate within their taste kitchen and beyond, as they proudly launch ‘Zero Waste Briquettes’. Produced entirely from chilli waste, these specially made charcoal briquettes give a great aroma when lighting the fire and are just another step in their eco-conscious approach and commitment to sustainable farming.
Available for purchase at the Banhoek Chilli Oil factory shop and family-friendly taste kitchen, set within the beautiful Banhoek Valley- be sure to pop past for fuss-free, delicious dishes, created with Banhoek Chilli Oil as the star of the show. There’s also an array of award-winning local wines available, best enjoyed out on the sun-drenched deck, access to the renowned trails of the area, as well as a child-friendly play area. Kitchen open from 9am – 4pm Wednesday, and 9am – 8pm, Thursday to Sunday with walk-ins welcome and no booking necessary.
We’re giving away a delicious BRAAI DAY HAMPER from Banhoek Chilli Oil on Instagram.
