What’s new from Tudor

Tudor started 2023 with a bang, releasing several new watches, a quartet of Black Bay models and one Royal variant. We look at the latest releases from the luxury watchmaker…

BLACK BAY

An emblematic diving watch, the latest evolution of the Black Bay features revised design elements, a burgundy bezel and a “T-fit” clasp. In addition, the new Black Bay is Master Chronometer certified by METAS. The Manufacture Calibre MT5602-U was built and designed to ensure robustness and precision. The watch is “weekend-proof” with a power reserve of 70 hours.

BLACK BAY 54

Honouring the luxury watchmaker’s first diver’s watch, the Black Bay 54 embodies the purest modern expression of the original from 1954. The new Black Bay 54 recalls this model with a 37 mm case and Manufacture Calibre, which offers a power reserve of 70 hours. Water resistance is rated at 200 metres. The watch is available with a three-link, satin-brushed steel bracelet or rubber strap. “While the Black Bay line has always incorporated signature elements of past Tudor dive watches, the Black Bay 54 is perhaps the most true-to-form Black Bay to have been created thus far,” said the luxury firm.

BLACK BAY 31, 36, 39, 41

The latest iterations of Tudor’s Black Bay 31, 36, 39 and 41 models bring a unique aesthetic to the range. Their curved cases (available in a combination of finishes) signify a design language that slightly differs from the traditional styling to create a more sophisticated, versatile and unisex timepiece. The dial can be had in blue, anthracite or champagne hues. All models ship with a five-link bracelet — replete with the firm’s “T-fit” adjustment system — crafted from 316L steel.

BLACK BAY GMT

Billed as the traveller’s Black Bay, Tudor has expanded its Black Bay GMT line-up with a new model sporting a fresh-new domed opaline dial to match the timepiece’s burgundy and blue bezel. Coupled with a bracelet fashioned from the same material, the 41 mm steel case features a polished and satin finish. Water resistance is rated at 200 metres. The Black Bay GMT is equipped with Tudor’s calibre MT5652, a self-winding mechanical movement replete with a bidirectional rotor system, offering a 70-hour power reserve.

ROYAL

The new Royal symbolises the epitome of versatile sport-chic. The latest variant is available with a notched or diamond-set bezel, while integrated bracelets and an automatic movement are present. The dial’s colour palette includes two new hues: radial brushed salmon and chocolate brown. Black, silver, champagne, and blue are also available. A diamond-set mother-of-pearl version completes the range.
