A trio of new iterations, including a limited edition, has been introduced to Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak Offshore self-winding chronograph collection. Here’s what you can expect…

With this reference Audemars Piguet introduced a (42 mm) black ceramic case, coupled with a bracelet fashioned from the same material, to the Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph range. The case back is fashioned from titanium. Combining technicity and design, this model features a ‘Petite Tapisserie’ dial, displayed through glare-proof sapphire crystal. In stunning contrast, white gold has been applied to the hour markers. Several white details are present. The hands are treated with Super-LumiNova luminescence. The flyback chronograph unit — Audemars Piguet’s 4404 calibre — keeping time offers a power reserve of 70 hours. Water resistance is rated at 100 metres. This variant is priced at CHF 75 400 (R1 629 722).

This derivative adds yellow-gold accents to the black ceramic case, which, here, measures 43 mm in diameter. The dial also features a larger version of the Swiss luxury watchmaker’s signature pattern, ‘Méga Tapisserie’. Yellow-gold highlights have been applied to the hour markers, minute ring, sub-dial hands and surrounds. The watch is presented on a black alligator-leather strap, replete with an 18-carat yellow-gold pin buckle (an additional black rubber strap is included). Audemars Piguet’s 4401 calibre powers this reference. Beating at 4 Hz, the automatic movement offers a power reserve of 70 hours. Water resistance is 100 metres. This 500-piece limited edition pays homage to the Royal Oak Offshore “End of Days”, which was released in 1999. The 43 mm ceramic case’s otherwise dark hue is contrasted by yellow detailing, which includes the luminescent coating and stitching on the black calfskin-leather strap. The same self-winding movement found in the Ref. 26420CE.OO.A127CR.01 drives time.
