OMEGA Railmaster

The Return of the OMEGA Railmaster

This year, OMEGA brings back the iconic Railmaster, reimagined with fresh gradient dials and a refined, minimalist design.

Originally launched in 1957 as part of the “Professional Line” trilogy, the Railmaster was created for those working in magnetic environments, such as railway staff, engineers, and scientists. Alongside the Speedmaster for drivers and the Seamaster 300 for divers, it completed OMEGA’s high-performance tools.

The original Railmaster stood out for its advanced anti-magnetic protection, resisting fields up to 1,000 gauss, far beyond the standard 60 gauss of the era. Its reputation for durability and precision helped it become a lasting favourite among collectors and professionals alike.

Since 2003, OMEGA has revived the Railmaster with updates that stay true to its heritage. This year’s new stainless steel versions continue that tradition, drawing on the aesthetic of the Seamaster Aqua Terra, with symmetrical cases and integrated bracelets.

New Models Include:

  • 38 mm Grey Dial with Black Gradient:
  • Minimalist and modern, featuring only the OMEGA logo and Railmaster name. White Super-LumiNova enhances visibility. Available on black leather or a stainless steel bracelet with redesigned links for added comfort.
  • 38 mm Beige Dial with Black Gradient & Small Seconds:
  • Inspired by the 2004 model, this version includes a Small Seconds display and vintage Super-LumiNova. Offered on a golden brown Novonappa leather strap or stainless steel bracelet.

Both feature a mix of polished and brushed finishes for visual contrast.

Over 60 years on, the Railmaster remains a symbol of innovation. These new editions are powered by OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibres 8806 and 8804 (Small Seconds), certified by METAS to resist magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss—15 times stronger than the original.
