TAG Heuer watches have long adorned the iconic Gulf livery, from the Monaco to the Swiss luxury watchmaker’s motorsport-inspired Formula 1 collection of timepieces. The La Chaux-de-Fonds-based brand has now released a brand-new Formula 1 special edition donning Gulf’s emblematic blue and orange hues.
The racing-inspired timepiece sports a fine-brushed-and-polished steel case keeping the movement safe at water depths of up to 200 metres. It features a fixed bezel and screw-down crown. Around the back, the ‘Gulf’ logo can be found on the steel case back. The 43 mm item is coupled with a fine-brushed steel bracelet incorporating a folding clasp with a double safety system and driver’s extension to wear over a racing suit, making the watch a suitable companion for the race track and the following black-tie awards ceremony.
The pièce de résistance is, of course, the sunray-brushed dial featuring the Gulf hues. The Super-LumiNova hour markers make the watch extra-legible. A quartz chronograph movement drives the Formula 1 X Gulf. The new Formula 1 X Gulf ships in a special presentation box.
