La Motte is delighted to announce the opening of its latest seasonal art exhibition, ROSE’D, on 18 October 2025. Since reimagining its art offering, the La Motte Ateljee has become a celebrated highlight on the estate, and this summer promises a truly spectacular experience.
Inspired by the flourish of spring and summer, and by the many forms of the rose, ROSE’D invites guests to immerse themselves in the grandeur, delicacy, and fleeting beauty of the season’s most iconic bloom. From buds to full blossoms, the exhibition celebrates the rose in all its stages and symbolism.

At the heart of the showcase is the work of acclaimed artist Heike Taschner Jeske, whose passion for roses stems from a childhood shaped by her father, renowned rose farmer Ludwig Taschner. Their creative legacy has intertwined with La Motte for decades, with Ludwig naming two of his cultivars after members of the Rupert family: the radiant Hanneli Rupert Rose and the Berdine Rose. These roses, seen throughout the estate, set the stage for the exhibition, lining the driveway and making a statement in the Reception area.
Heike’s signature installation forms the centrepiece of ROSE’D: an immersive, larger-than-life rose unfurling across walls and ceilings. This monumental work offers a new perspective, as though visitors were tiny creatures drawn into the heart of the flower. The installation captures both wonder and intimacy, enhanced by a collection of monoprints, charcoal drawings, watercolours, and ceramic sculptures.

In addition, La Motte extended an Open Call to artists to submit works around the theme Flourish. From the many submissions, ten standout pieces will be showcased, with a broader curated selection also on view and available for acquisition.
Complementing the exhibition, guests can look forward to a series of floral-inspired workshops, offering creative engagement with the themes of growth, beauty, and artistry that define the season of the rose.
