This past weekend, a friend and I treated ourselves to the new Winter Spa’Scape Experience at The Palm House Boutique Hotel & Spa in Upper Wynberg — and it was every bit the luxurious retreat we’d hoped for.
From the moment we arrived, the spa’s serene setting and charming interiors set the tone. Our therapists, Thando and Andrea, were both knowledgeable and intuitive, delivering deeply relaxing treatments that left us floating. The 60-minute massage and facial were particular highlights, melting away tension with expert precision.
After our time in the Wellness Oasis, we were welcomed into the hotel’s elegant restaurant for the après-spa platter — and it was as exquisite to taste as it was to behold. Think golden risotto balls, a cracker topped with cream cheese, truffle and caviar, a delicate berry macaron, and a rich, chocolatey brownie that felt almost too indulgent (almost!).
