Indigenus and global design studio, Yabu Pushelberg debuts their first collaboration with the Pebble Planter collection. Inspired by nature, the partnership sought to honour this muse by celebrating the amorphous forms found in nature, translating the soft forms into a family of concrete planters. Despite its size, the pebble contributes in abundance to the look and feel of any natural landscape. Yabu Pushelberg aimed to do just this with their inaugural collection for Indigenus and produce a series of planters that can effortlessly blend, compliment, and style any environment.
Yabu Pushelberg have been named among the world’s most influential design studios by Wallpaper, Elle Decor, Hospitality Design and the Business of Fashion. Working around the world, the studio found it difficult to find quality, sophisticated planters to utilize in their projects. This need became the motivation to develop Pebble and have the collection available worldwide through Indigenus distribution.
Pebble is characterised by its soft organic form suitable for any style and environment. The Pebble follows an asymmetrical design with a beautiful play on negative space. “Indigenus was thrilled to collaborate with Yabu Pushelberg on a collection. Our desire was to align with their design style which is contemporary and organic in nature. We wanted something resonating with the earth and rocks. The Pebble is a perfect execution of that idea. Yabu Pushelberg are easy to work with, professional and personable and it was truly a collaborative experience that we loved”, says Peter van der Post, CEO and founder of Indigenus.
Designed to stand together or independently, the Pebble planters have been crafted to support larger plants and trees. The Pebble is available in Indigenus’ new earthy colours such as brown, sandstone and terracotta, along with their monochrome options.
“Indigenus is a positive, generous, and engaging partner who shares the belief that quality design can positively shape our future. They are a collective of hard-working, open-minded craftsmen, seen through their products and felt through the process of collaboration. We are honored to be introducing our inaugural collection and to continue to produce thoughtful work together.” says Yabu Pushelberg.
