Celebrating the 10th instalment of biennial charity auction Only Watch, we look at a trio of one-off wonders, each scheduled to go under the hammer on 5 November 2023.
BELL & ROSS BR 03 CYBER RAINBOW Eye-catching, isn’t it? The BR 03 Cyber Rainbow commemorates the 2023 edition of Only Watch with avant-garde flair and the daring use of vibrant hues on this Bell & Ross’s unique, black DLC titanium case. However, the multi-colour theme not only extends to the case. A similar mosaic pattern, comprising colourful varnished pieces, can be found on the rubber strap. Enhancing the dial’s appearance, only the movement and colourful bridges are visible. This BR 03 is powered by the French luxury watchmaker’s BR-Cal.383 calibre, a movement specially developed for this watch. The power reserve is rated at 48 hours.
HUBLOT MP-15 TAKASHI MURAKAMI TOURBILLON ONLY WATCH A special one-of-a-kind, this Hublot was created in collaboration with Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami, who is no stranger to working with the Swiss luxury watchmaker. For this piece, Murakami explicitly requested inclusion of a central tourbillon … and Hublot rose to the challenge, developing its first-ever central tourbillon. Like most Hublot-Murakami-designed pieces, the MP-15 is playful, with its colourful flower petal-shaped, sapphire case taking centre stage.
ULYSSE NARDIN FREAK S ONLY WATCH A piece everyone is sure to, ahem, freak out about, the Freak S Only Watch is a unique iteration of the model launched in 2022. To celebrate the anniversary of Only Watch, the Swiss luxury watchmaker’s design studio have handed the UN-251 calibre — a self-winding, flying carrousel movement — a rainbow-esque colour scheme.
