Sip & Savour @ The River

For a weekend escape into the Winelands, Sip & Savour @ The River is heading to the Robertson Wine Valley this October.

Taking place on 31 October–1 November, the festival brings together wine, food, live entertainment and the scenery of the Robertson Valley for a relaxed weekend outside of the city. This year, the festival will have a new home at Rietvallei Wine Estate, after flooding earlier this year affected its usual riverside venue at Viljoensdrift. Visitors can expect to sample wines from participating wineries while enjoying food stalls, live music and the laid-back atmosphere the valley is known for.

The festival also makes getting around the area easier, with complimentary shuttle services available in and around Robertson. These need to be pre-booked, allowing visitors to enjoy the wine without worrying about driving between venues. There will also be a dedicated Kiddies’ Zone, making this a more family-friendly option for those wanting to turn the festival into a weekend outing.

For wine lovers, it is a chance to discover some of the producers that make the Robertson Wine Valley such a popular destination, while the setting adds another reason to make the trip. With vineyards, open spaces and plenty of food and wine to work your way through, Sip & Savour is the sort of weekend that is as much about slowing down and enjoying the surroundings as it is about what is in your glass.
