Oris has introduced a trio of box-fresh references to its Aquis Date 36.5 mm portfolio, all of which featuring a vibrant mother-of-pearl dial. Available in blue, green or pink, the dials feature Super-LumiNova-coated hands and hour markers, while the lume-filled dot on the “lollipop” seconds hand indicates the watch is keeping time. Speaking of keeping time, before we continue, let’s look at the movement… Beating at 28 800 vph (4 Hz), the Swiss luxury watchmaker’s 733 unit, keeps the time ticking, with the power reserve coming in at 41 hours.
The self-winding item is housed in a multi-piece, stainless steel case, keeping the latter, which is displayed through a mineral glass case back, safe at water depths of up to 300 metres (it is a diver’s watch, after all … and the Hölstein-based brand’s most successful wristwatch for over the past decade).
Continuing with their diving prowess, these Aquis Date models feature several elements essential for those wanting to dive into the deep blue. These include a uni-directional bezel, replete with minutes scale, and a screw-down crown with protection.
The latest additions to the Aquis Date 36.5 mm collection ships with straps finished in hues matching their respective mother-of-peal dials. Each piece is priced at CHF 2 150 (R44 571.65).
