Bvlgari has introduced a brand-new Octo Finissimo, with the Italian luxury watch- and jewellery-maker handing the latest iteration the CarbonGold treatment.
As its name would suggest, the Ref. 103779 is crafted from carbon, anthracite-coloured to add to the piece’s elegant aesthetic. And it’s not only the 40 mm octogonal case that’s fashioned from this “extremely” lightweight material. The latter has also been used for the dial and bracelet. All of these items have been handed a matte finish. Contrasting with the watch’s otherwise dark colour scheme, the crown, display elements and the hour markers and hands, have been made from rose gold, luminous to provide excellent legibility.
The Octo Finissimo CarbonGold keeps time with Bvlgari’s ultra-thin manufacture calibre. The self-winding mechancal movement, which beats at 21 600 vph (3 Hz) is endowed with a power reserve of 60 hours. Water resistance is rated at 100 metres.
The Octo Finissimo CarbonGold is priced at R611 400.
