01 | CONTOUR
Create the shape.
Contouring is still very much part of the makeup conversation, but the modern version is considerably more understated. Rather than drawing dramatic lines beneath the cheekbones, use a cool or neutral-toned contour sparingly to create the suggestion of natural shadow.
Sweep it into the hollows beneath the cheekbones, around the temples and hairline and lightly along the jawline if desired. The trick is to keep it close to where natural shadows would fall and blend until there are no obvious edges. Think definition, not drama.
