BeachCult launches their first Active collection

Swimwear and apparel brand, BeachCult, recently launched their very first Active collection. From the mind of brand owner and designer Joanna Hedley, this collection features a series of 7 signature print sets made in their ultra-luxe swim fabric. The capsule collection was mindfully and ethically designed and produced in South Africa and is BeachCult’s first foray into activewear.

While 3 of the prints were designed by BeachCult’s in-house design team, the Mystic Karoo and Midnight Safari prints were designed by Nastasha Sale and Emijl De Kock respectively. Collaborating with local designers and artists is something that Hedley is passionate about and something that BeachCult has become known for. “Working with artists like Nastasha and Emijl is always inspiring.” Hedley commented, and local job creation is a massive passion of mine, and one of the inspirations behind BeachCult, the brand.”

The Mystic Karoo, designed by Cape Town artist, Nastasha Sale, was inspired by her  innate intrigue for nature. The print is described as whimsical and unique. Midnight Safari, designed by Emijl De Kock, is an ode to the enigmatic Cape Leopard.

“We chose these patterns as they were the most popular amongst our current customers. We wanted to offer something they loved but in a different, more exciting form. Progressing to activewear was just a natural next step for us. We know that our ladies already enjoy an active lifestyle and we want to be part of every step on that adventure.”
