Fine wine, delicious street food and live music set the scene for nine summer evenings in the heart of Stellenbosch.
Summer evenings in Stellenbosch are about to get a little more enticing, with the return of the much-loved Stellenbosch Street Soirees from 28 October 2026. This season is particularly special, marking 55 years of the Stellenbosch Wine Routes and 15 years since it introduced the popular open-air celebration.
Set along Drostdy Street, the Soirees bring together the region’s celebrated wine producers, food vendors and musicians for relaxed evenings of sipping, sampling and socialising beneath festive overhead lights. It is an invitation to experience Stellenbosch at its best, with good company, exceptional local wines and a lively summer atmosphere.
Each event runs from 18:00 to 20:00, making it an ideal midweek outing or the perfect prelude to dinner at one of the town’s many acclaimed restaurants.
As dusk settles, Drostdy Street transforms into a convivial gathering space, with wine stalls showcasing the region’s diverse offerings, food stalls serving an array of flavours and live performers providing the soundtrack. Casual seating creates inviting spots to catch up with friends, discover new favourites and savour the easy rhythm of a Stellenbosch summer evening.
With its rich winemaking heritage, celebrated culinary scene and charming streets, Stellenbosch provides a fitting backdrop for an event that champions the people and producers behind the region’s reputation for excellence.
Now in its 15th year, the Street Soirees have become a seasonal favourite, attracting locals and visitors alike. With tickets known to sell out quickly, booking ahead is recommended.
