The Empreinte collection from Louis Vuitton is designed to evoke inner adventure and personal discovery.
The Empreinte collection was first designed in 2004 and stood out immediately for the distinctive designs that drew inspiration from the Louis Vuitton emblematic codes. Now, the Maison’s Artistic Director of Jewellery and Watches, Francesca Amfitheatrof, begins a new chapter as the collection grows to include bold new creations and contemporary designs.
THE INSPIRATION
Staying true to the Maison’s spirit of travel, the fine jewellery collection takes inspiration from the imprint of the nails used on their heritage trunks. The impression of these trunk studs is etched into pieces, available in yellow, white or pink gold. Other emblematic codes are used throughout the collection — including powerful LV initials, designed by Georges Vuitton in 1896, and openworked monogram flowers. The emblematic four-petalled flower is seen on medallions that appear as modern talismans and on the cords of delicate bracelets.
A UNIQUE STYLE
The new additions to the Empreinte collection bring a certain boldness and contemporary feel to the aesthetic. The pieces are created for men and women and designed to be worn individually or mixed and matched to suit one’s personal style. No matter which way you choose to wear the pieces, it’s clear that the collection expresses versatility beautifully — a long necklace, for example, is easily transformed into a multi-strand bracelet or stacked necklace, while ear cuffs can be worn in countless combinations.
THE PIECES
Full of character, clear lines and bright strokes, the Empreinte collection includes a selection of necklaces, earrings, bangles and rings. Each piece is available in yellow, pink and white gold and diamonds feature throughout the collection.
